Flu spoils the end of my WSOP
Unfortunately, toward the end of this year’s World Series of Poker, I caught the flu and missed out on the “Ante Up For Africa” charity tournament.
I recovered enough stamina to play in the 10K Main Event. It was up and down for the first two days of play for me.
On the third day, I was very short stacked. With only 9K in chips left, I made a stand with AK.
Unfortunately, a new player had arrived at our table who had not seen how tight I had been playing all day. He called me with 4-4. The flop, turn and river were of no help to me and I was out.
All in all, I was happy with my results this year, having cashed in four events.
I look forward to moving on to other poker events and keep telling myself, 334 days to go till the next year’s WSOP.
